Elisenda Carrasco (Spain)
Born in Barcelona, she began her musical studies at the Conservatory of Music in Barcelona, where she finished the higher degrees of composition and instrumentation, and conducting with J.Solé and S.Mas, respectively. She also studied musical pedagogy, specializing in choral singing.
In the field of choral conducting she has been trained by S. Johnson, L. Heltay, J. Prats, P. Cao, H.Rilling and F.Bernius, as well as with conductors Hollerung and Frihsmund in Germany, with a scholarship by the Musica Mundi Association.
In 2002, together with the stage director and playwright Marc Rosich, they created the company La Trattoria Lyric, dedicated to the creation of shows and small operas.
For twenty years, she has been dedicated to the world of education, working mainly with white voices, with especial relevance to the Choir of Montserrat or the Conservatory of Music of the Liceo de Barcelona.
Nowadays and for almost 20 years, she is the musical conductor of St. Cugat Child Choir, which also develops educational tasks within the framework of Aula de So and the Voxalba Female Chamber Choir.
